A note from the founders

Dear Seeker,

If you're here, Mā Lalitā has already called you inward. Our role is simple: to offer a clean, authentic space in which you can learn and practise with clarity, reverence and trust.

Lalita Sahasranāma is not something to rush through or simply “finish.” It is a sacred sādhana. Through structured lessons, we move step by step—from correct pronunciation and padavibhāga to meaning, deeper significance and bhāva—without made-up stories or embellishment.

Although you learn at your own pace, you are never alone. Live weekend guided practice and Q&A, personal chanting correction, one-on-one guidance and a sincere community of Lalita sādhakas are there to support your learning.

If your heart is ready to go beyond mechanical chanting and approach the Sahasranāma with greater understanding and devotion, we would be honoured to guide you.

May this sādhana gradually become a conscious offering to Mā Lalitā and bring greater clarity, steadiness and grace into your life.

Yours spiritually,

You can begin immediately. How long does the complete Lalita Sahasranāma learning journey take?

Learning all 1,000 nāmas with pronunciation, padavibhāga, meaning, deeper significance and practice is a long-term Sādhana. A realistic minimum learning horizon is around 6–8 months when you study and practise with depth. Depending on your pace, consistency and how deeply you engage with each nāma, it may take longer—and for some sādhakas, even more than a year. The 6–8 months is not a maximum or a deadline. Your 30-day plan refers only to your current access period, not to completing the entire Sahasranāma.

Do I need to know Sanskrit?

Do I need to follow any food or lifestyle discipline?

It is best to avoid alcohol and intoxication around learning and practice, and ideally maintain a more sattvic lifestyle during the journey. If possible, avoiding non-vegetarian food on chanting or practice days is also a good discipline.

I’m a woman. Can I continue during menstruation?

We recommend taking rest from loud chanting during menstruation. However, you can chant mentally, listen to the lessons and contemplate the meaning. If you miss a live weekend session, continue with your structured lessons and join the next Weekend Chanting Practice or Interactive Q&A when possible. If you are unsure about how to continue your learning during this period, WhatsApp Nirvana Support.

I’m a woman. Can I learn or chant during pregnancy?

Is there any age or religious-background restriction?

No particular religious background is required. The Sādhana is open to sincere seekers who wish to learn respectfully. Younger learners can also join; for children, we recommend a parent or guardian support the learning and practice.

Why are new lessons added every week instead of giving everything at once?

Lalita Sahasranāma is not meant to be rushed. The progressive sequence gives you time to work with the sound, pronunciation, splitting, meaning and practice of each portion before moving ahead. This helps the learning become part of your sādhana rather than just information to finish.

What do I need to begin?

A phone, tablet or computer with internet access is enough to begin. Headphones can be helpful for listening closely to pronunciation. Your Lalita Sahasranāma learning guide and supporting material are provided digitally.

How do I get technical or Sādhana-related help?

For registration, access or app-related help, contact Nirvana Support on WhatsApp. For Sādhana-related guidance, use the Nirvana App voice-note support, chanting correction process or the live weekend Q&A.
